Acute Hard Disk Failure

On one beautiful friday evening,which is the 20th of May 2011,i came back home thinking that how tiring and hectic my weekdays was..totally no rest..test after test and in 2 weeks time,finals..so,as usual,to release stress,i wanted to play Dota..not even 1 minute after my com was switched on,the whole com shut down by itself..so i tried to switch it on again..nothing came out but a blue screen saying that there is an error..not a very good sign..could be motherboard spoilt or internal hard disk..with a few computer profesionals in my house,i manage to diagnose that my com's internal hard disk broke down..it was around 7pm..but i know if i dun fix my com asap,i might not get to use it to translate my russian books which i gonna use soon..so off i go to a wholesaler of all electronic items..manage to get a 640gb internal hard disk and also a zalman cooler pad..reaching home abt 9/10pm,i start fixing my com,of course,with the help of the few profesionals which i mention as above..done fixing everything at about 4am..
below are the following upgrades i did:
1.internal hard disk 160gb -> 640gb
2.nameless cooler pad -> zalman cooler pad..4 times the nameless cooler price
3.x7 gaming mouse -> razer lachesis 5600dpi gaming mouse
4.windows vista -> windows 7

all in all,im kinda satisfied with my com right now..seems to work better then before :) anyway,i have included a few pictures below

cooler pad box

my broken hard disk

box for my razer lachesis 5600dpi

my razer gaming mouse

last but not least,my workplace

kinda happy with the result but,oh well,there goes all my un-retrievable pictures and songs collected since secondary school :S

Most Stressful Subject of the Year

A little sneak preview of what 3rd year med. school in Moscow/Russia will be like..
basically,u have approximately 9 subjects for 1st sem,12 for the 2nd..I'm not sure what other unis in russia will be having but my timetable is kinda screwed up..rumours says that they planning to take more of our senior years subjects and cramp it into our year to shorten our years by 1 sem..well,i'm not sure how tru is it but it sounds like a good idea..
anyhow,as for me,3rd year of med school in moscow is not a honeymoon year at all..it doesn't even give the sweet taste..probably because i get a few hardcore teachers this years,but not too hardcore to fail u until next year though..

2 killer subjects which i find not to joke with this year:
i. pharmacology(enough said)
2. topography anatomy a.k.a TopAn

well,i'm just gonna talk about topan..topan is a subject,taught fully in Russian..so if you are not able to pick up Russian that well by 3rd year,it might "slight problem"..yea,just slight..cuz,as for me,i have a teacher who gives weekly test for this subject..no matter how,u still have to learn the language..this is because,if u dun pass this weeks test,u can't do the next weeks test..and if u can't do the next weeks test,u can't do control(a bigger test)..if u can't clear ur controls,u cannot sit for your credit test..no credit test,dun even think about doing exam..kinda simple right?let me summarize:

no test-->no control-->no credit test-->no finals

so,what can we do?one way,one word---> STUDY (pronounce as STAR-DEEE)

a little briefing about how Topan looks like with pictures

My Blue Topan Book

My Lecturer,head of department,very experienced man and also well respected by everyone..

written "топографическая Анатомия и Оперативная хирургия " which means topography anatomy and operative surgery

random page 1..half picture,half russian

more russians

and even more russians:)

its a subject which will give u nightmare if u sleep right after u read it,trust me..however,it is good learning in this subject because u will end up learning language and a subject at once..this is good in the sense that the following years,i will be able to communicate with russian patients..

OMG,no milk powder???

I've been searching all over for milk powders these days cuz i fear the fact that I might be underweight and i need some nutrients to boost up my mass and weight..So,I have been thinking whether should i buy those fresh milks in boxes or cans..Looking everywhere in the so called "tesco" in Moscow,i FINALLY came across to some milk powders,nicely located on the shelf,well canned,calling out to me..but as i walk closer to the shelf,i started to see a "number"..and as i walk even closer,i saw a HUGE number 1 on the can..for those of u who might have forgotten,let me recall u that almost all milk powders with number on its can usually shows the age or range of age of the consumer..so in this case the number shows 1 or it could be for babies up to 6 months old

It is kinda wierd though but people here in Moscow still look very fit..so i guess they take a lot of fresh milk..

TIPS:for those of u who is going to pursue your studies here in Moscow or for residing purposes,please bring some milk powders here..u might never know when u will need it

and also,for those who know where i can get milk powders in Moscow other then websites,pls do let me know:) thank u

May the best team wins!!

Every year,when near to Hitler's bday,we have such things called intervarsity games among Malaysian students from universities around Russia..This include First Moscow State Medical Uni(FMSMU,which I am currently studying at),Russian State Medical Uni (RSMU), and a few more which i dun really know the exact name such as medical uni from Nizhny Novgorod,Kursk,Volgogrod and some engineering school here which i have totally no idea of the name..Well,this year,the games is held in FMSMU,Moscow and there will be tough competitions among all this seasoned and experience sportsman..Note that in this intervarsity games, cyber games are included as well such as Dota,Counter strike and etc..well,it is going to be fun but I'm just gonna stay at home and sleep more:) anyway,my wishes,as above, "MAY THE BEST TEAM WINS". All the best everyone:)
